Another group of senior Police officers have been issued new appointments and transfers based on service requirement.

The Police Headquarters said based on the directive of the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security and following the approval of the National Police Commission, the transfers have been made.

Accordingly, DIG-Legal KVDAJ Karawita has been appointed the Acting DIG of the Crime Range in addition to the current post.

Acting DIG JPD Jayasingha who was transferred from the Supplies Division to the Ratnapura Range recently has been transferred and appointed as the DIG of the Police Narcotics Bureau.

Furthermore, DIG – Narcotics Bureau Priyantha Liyanage has been appointed the DIG- Ratnapura Range.

The Police Headquarters added five Senior Superintendents of Police, a Superintendent of Police and two Assistant Superintendents of Police have also been transferred based on service requirement.
