Experts say Sri Lanka should expect bigger earth tremors in future due to the movement of the Indo-Australian tectonic plate.
Professor of Geology at the University of Peradeniya Atula Senaratne said yesterday’s 3.0 magnitude tremor recorded in Buttala, Wellawaya and several areas in Monaragala was also due to the movement of the tectonic plate.
