The Indian External Affairs Minister (EAM) S.Jaishankar met the Leader of National People’s Power (NPP) and Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Anura Kumara Dissanayake today (5) in New Delhi.

The two parties discussed the bilateral relationship and the mutual benefits of Sri Lanka’s economic challenges and the path ahead.

The meeting between the Indian EAM and Dissanayake, whose party has long criticised Indian involvement in Sri Lanka, is a significant development.
